The vice presidential candidate of the Nigerian Democratic Congress, NDC, Rabiu Kwankwaso has expressed sadness over the unfortunate death of Kano based political singer, Muhammadu Buhari, known by his stage name Kosan Waka.
DAILY POST reports that the popular singer died on Sunday in Kano at the age of 47.
Reacting, Kwankwaso in a post on his Facebook page said he was saddened by the sad news.
The former governor of Kano State said the deceased contributed to the advancement of the Kwankwassiyya Movement.
He wrote, “I’m deeply saddened to learn of the passing of the renowned signer Muhammadu Buhari a.k.a Kosan Waka today.
“Kosan Waka’s role in advancing the ideals of our movement will never be forgotten. I pray that Almighty Allah grants him Jannatul Firdaus.
“I extend my heartfelt condolences to his family and friends during this difficult time”.
