Former Chief Security Officer to the late Head of State, Gen. Sani Abacha, Maj. Hamza Al-Mustapha (retd.), has claimed that he has CCTV footage of events surrounding the late leader’s death.
Mustapha also described claims by an ex-Department of State Services, DSS, operative, Dennis Amachree, about Abacha’s final moments as “lies”.
He was speakinge with journalists at the 3rd General Hassan Usman Katsina Memorial Conference held at Arewa House, Kaduna, on Saturday.
Amachree, in his memoir, gave his account of the events surrounding Abacha’s death on June 8, 1998.
He claimed that the late military dictator died from a cardiac arrest during sexual intercourse.
But Mustapha said: “The boy was asked by others to write those lies. I have all the CCTV footage of what happened in my custody, so what he said is not true.”
