A co-ord is the perfect way to put together an effortlessly chic outfit whilst still staying cool and comfortable in summer, especially when they’re made from breathable fabrics like linen and cotton. A two-piece set makes you look instantly elevated without worrying about matching prints or colours, and the right fit and material make all the difference to how comfortable you are.
If you happen to be on the curvier or plus size side of sizing, you’ll be all too aware of the struggle of dealing with things like chafing and rubbing which can be caused by everything from bare skin touching to too much fabric getting in the way. That’s why I made it my mission to find three cool and comfy co-ords that’ll see you through summer that are all perfectly designed for curvier bodies, and will see you through everything from beach holidays to chic evening events.

This is a holiday essential, and hails from Scarlett Moffatt’s recent edit with Simply Be. Available in sizes 10 to 28 it’s got an inclusive sizing range, although I would suggest sizing up if you prefer a more relaxed, loose-fitting feel as the shorts are slightly snug around the waistband.
However the 100% cotton material is lightweight and breezy, and its colourful print makes it perfect for taking on holiday, whether you want to wear it around the pool, on the beach, or as a cute set for doing some sightseeing in. It’s ever so slightly see through, but if you want to wear it out and about some nude-toned underwear and a looser fit should solve that.

This co-ord has been a staple in my wardrobe for over a year now, and it’s had plenty of wear whether I’m on holiday or at home. It’s made from 30% linen and 70% viscose, with this material combination making it breathable and light, whilst also wrinkling less than 100% linen would. It’s relaxed, oversize shape means you can wear this with trainers and a vest on a city break or thrown on over your bikini around the pool, but it still looks elevated in an effortless way.
Both pieces are available in sizes six to 22, with the trousers also available in regular and tall lengths. I sized up in the Corinne Linen Pants expecting them to be a little snug, but actually should have probably stuck to my usual size as they had plenty of room to spare. The same went for the Black Linen Boyfriend Shirt, which I got in my usual size but was so oversized I could have sized down and still had the same relaxed fit.

If you want something that’s a little more elegant and elevated that you could wear for events, lunches or holiday date nights, this polka dot set from Simply Be is ideal. It’s 100% cotton, which keeps it breathable and breezy, and has a flowy relaxed silhouette with some elevated details like gathered ankles and a cropped shirt.

The fit is spot on in your usual size, although the trousers have a drawstring waist if you wanted to size up, and it’s available in sizes 10 to 32 for an extra inclusive range of sizing. Pair it with ballet flats or sandal heels for an elevated look, or keep it casual with flip flops and an open shirt for the daytime.
