A 22-year-old man has died after he was stabbed near Heathrow Airport in the early hours of Tuesday, prompting a murder investigation.

A double-decker bus and multiple police vehicles are within a large cordon where the A4 is shut in Cranford, Hounslow, between Great South West Road and The Parkway.

A Met Police statement said: “Officers attended the scene with the London Ambulance Service to find a man, aged 22, with serious injuries. Despite the efforts from emergency services, he was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

“His next-of-kin have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers. No arrests have been made at this stage, and a large crime scene remains in place with surrounding roads closed.”

Bus routes are being diverted away from the scene, Transport for London has said.
