Henry Nowak’s killer’s father covered his face with a notepad as he arrived at court charged with weapons offences.
Moga Singh, 52 appeared alongside sons Gurpreet Digwa, 27 and murderer Vickrum Digwa, 23, to face six counts of possessing an offensive weapon in a private place. The alleged weapons include a flick knife, an extendable baton, knuckledusters, a machete, swords and kusaris.
Gurpreet Digwa faces four additional charges of possessing an offensive weapon, an asp, in a public place, possessing a prohibited weapon, an air rifle, possessing an axe in a public place and possessing a knife, a kirpan, in a public place.

They appeared at Southampton Magistrates Court just hours after Vickrum Digwa was handed a life sentence with a minimum of 21 years for knifing 18-year-old Henry Nowak to death in the city last year. Natalie Angel, prosecuting, asked for extra time to consider which charges against the three defendants to proceed with and told the court: “A number of weapons were recovered in this case.”
Harmail Gill, defending the trio, asked for an adjournment of at least four weeks for both sides to consider the charges. He told the court this would allow them to “be in a position where we are not arriving on the day of court not knowing what charges the Crown are going ahead with”.

Jennifer Pitt, chair of the magistrates, adjourned the proceedings until July 9 and released Moga Singh and Gurpreet Digwa on unconditional bail until then, and Vickrum Digwa on technical bail as he is serving a jail sentence. She told the three defendants: “We have been asked to adjourn matters and we are prepared to do so as we think it is in the interests of justice to look at the charges and decide what exactly is going to go ahead or not so we know what is going to happen at the next date. We are adjourning matters until 9th July at 2pm.”

Adressing to Moga Singh and Gurpreet Digwa, she said: “The two of you who are not in custody need to be here at 1.30pm.” She also gave permission for Vickrum Digwa to appear at the next hearing by videolink from prison.
The weapons offences happened between December 4 2025 and the day after Henry was killed.
