Real Madrid forward Yan Diomande has named Al-Nassr captain Cristiano Ronaldo as his football idol.
Speaking to Real Madrid TV ahead of their LaLiga clash with Real Sociedad on Wednesday night, the Ivory Coast international said Ronaldo inspired him.
“Cristiano Ronaldo, an idol. He is for many reasons. To begin with, his mentality, his desire to win,” Diomande said.
“I identified with that because I didn’t like losing either; I’m a bad loser. I started paying attention to Ronaldo, buying his jerseys, and even writing his name on them with paint.

“He inspired me and continues to inspire me.”
Ronaldo previously played for Real Madrid and won several trophies, including the UEFA Champions League and LaLiga.
