It’s been a minute since Stars Hollow last graced television screens worldwide – 5,097,600 minutes, to be exact. But who knew that after Netflix released Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life on November 25, 2016, there would be no new episodes about Lorelai, Rory, Paris and the rest of the OG GG gang?
Well, that’s about to change – sort of. HBO Max just announced a Gilmore Girls documentary is in the works, with the show’s creators, Amy Sherman-Palladino and Daniel Palladino, involved behind the scenes.
Watch With Us has all the available details about the Gilmore Girls doc, including which cast members have been confirmed so far, what the documentary will focus on and more.
What Is the Title of the ‘Gilmore Girls’ Documentary?

As of press time, there is no confirmed title. We’ll update this article once it’s revealed by HBO Max.
When Is the ‘Gilmore Girls’ Documentary Streaming?
No release has been announced for the documentary. The press release published by Deadline mentions the documentary is “in the works,” which is a vague enough description to suggest it’s not releasing anytime soon.
Which Cast Members Will Be in the ‘Gilmore Girls’ Documentary?

So far, only Lauren Graham has been confirmed as participating in the documentary. The Deadline article mentions “additional key cast and crew” will appear, and we hope that means Alexis Bledel, Milo Ventimiglia, Chad Michael Murray, Liza Weil, Kelly Bishop and more will be involved.
What Will the ‘Gilmore Girls’ Documentary Contain?
The documentary will include never-before-seen outtakes (some of which you can watch right now on YouTube), behind-the-scenes footage and script pages that detail the show’s evolution from an obscure WB show in 2000 to the pop culture phenomenon it became later in its run and in the years since it ended in 2007.
