The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are producing a war film for Netflix, based on Major Adam Jowett’s memoir No Way Out: The Searing True Story of Men Under Siege.
The film will depict Easy Company, comprising Paras and Royal Irish Rangers, defending a district in Helmand Province against Taliban attacks in July 2006.
The subject matter is particularly relevant to Prince Harry, who completed two frontline tours of duty in Afghanistan, including a covert mission in Helmand Province and a stint as an Apache helicopter pilot.
The couple’s Archewell Productions has a first-look deal with Netflix and is also involved in a new polo-themed drama, following their executive production of the 2024 docuseries Polo.
It comes after the Duchess of Sussex’s lifestyle brand As Ever ended its partnership with Netflix.
