Rockstar Games has restricted Australian-based players from gambling at the Diamond Casino in GTA Online.
The change came to light after players noticed the casino’s gambling features had stopped working, with a games data miner later confirming the restriction was intentional.
Affected users can still walk into the casino, but core games are switched off, including blackjack, roulette, casino slots, Three Card Poker, Inside Track and the Lucky Wheel.
Red Dead Online’s poker tables have reportedly been hit too.
The move lines up with Australia’s recent tightening of online gambling rules, even though GTA Online uses in-game chips rather than real-money bets.
Rockstar has not issued an official explanation for the decision.
Players have been vocal about the ban online, with many questioning why simulated gambling is being restricted while other criminal activity remains part of normal gameplay.
