Germany says Russia responsible for failed drone attack on major airport

- The explosive device was discovered near a Ukrainian aircraft and successfully defused.
- German Interior Minister Alexander Dobrindt said that the incident corresponds with a known pattern of Russian hybrid operations and the assumption was that Germany would be targeted again.
- The German government formally concluded that Russia was responsible for the targeted attack.
- In response, Germany’s Foreign Minister announced the closure of the Russian consulate in Bonn and a Russian cultural centre.
