Felix Nmecha opened the scoring for Germany early in the match, but Livano Comenenia netted Curacao’s historic first World Cup goal to level the score.
Germany regained control before half-time with goals from Nico Schlotterbeck and a Kai Havertz penalty, taking a 3-1 lead into the break.
The European heavyweights extended their lead significantly in the second half, with Jamal Musiala, Nathaniel Brown, and substitute Deniz Undav all finding the net.
Kai Havertz completed his brace, securing Germany’s seventh goal and sealing a comprehensive win, laying down a strong marker for their World Cup aspirations.
