Gangsters have placed a £50k bounty on the head of a man who killed his drug and gun thug brother-in-law.
Hashim Uddin, 33, was released from prison earlier this year after he was jailed in 2021 for stabbing Omer Sadiq, 32, to death in a row at flat in Glasgow.
An underworld source claims Uddin is now in hiding and in constant fear after hoods stumped up the cash to claim his scalp.
He told the Record: “Omer Sadiq was a very popular guy and one of the heaviest gangsters in the Southside.

“Since he was killed, many people have been biding their time to avenge him.
“His associated offered a £25k bounty for Uddin when he went on the run after he killed Omer, but he turned himself in to cops before they could catch up with him.
“He’ll be wishing he was still in the jail because he a degree of protection in there.
“Now he’s out, he has 50 bags on his head and there are some very serious hitters just waiting for the right moment.
“It will take an army to stop them and if he’s got any sense he’ll get out of the city.”

Omer Sadiq was once caught up in drug feuds in the south side of Glasgow and used guns to intimidate rival gangsters.
He was jailed for five years in 2010 after chasing down two rivals in a car on Pollokshaws Road and pointing a pistol at them before ramming their vehicle.

On the day he was killed he went to Uddin’s flat near Silverburn shopping centre with his wife.
The High Court in Glasgow heard there had been claims Uddin had been having an affair behind the back of his wife, Iqraa Malik, and that he was planning to leave her.
Sadiq – married to Iqraa’s sister – told a relative he would go to Uddin’s home and “everything would be fine”.
But Sadiq brought a dog into the house with him which upset Uddin and the two men started fighting.
Sadiq was struck twice with a hunting knife and later died in hospital from his fatal injuries.
In court, Uddin was accused of murdering Sadiq but prosecutors accepted his guilty plea to the lesser charge of culpable homicide.
Uddin’s advocate Thomas Ross QC said Sadiq’s reputation intimidated him and that the dog “introduced an element of fear”.
After Sadiq’s death, the Record reported on a chilling photo that showed the victim enjoying a night out with the Uddin in the months before he was killed.
The picture showed Sadiq, Uddin and another man happily enjoying drinks together at a table.
Speaking at the time, a source said “Just shows, you can be sitting with your killer and not even know it.”
We also told how thug pals of Sadiq’s posted an image of Uddin online alongside a £25,000 bounty offered to anyone who could hunt him down.
The sinister post read: “Anyone that knows, knows the money is there. Police ain’t doing something. Let’s get together and do it.”
