First look at family-friendly facilities on new luxury cruise ship Crystal Grace

A new youth area and a giant gaming screen are among the family-friendly features that will be on Crystal’s newest cruise ship.

The luxury brand has revealed renderings of the child and teen-focused amenities that passengers will find on Crystal Grace when it launches in 2028.

Its newest 650-passenger capacity ship will reflect the growing trend of multi-generational travel, in which grandparents, parents and children sail together.

Here is what to expect.

A new outdoor destination for families

Located on deck 11, Crystal Grace will have a dedicated youth area.

It will include a shallow pool, outdoor recreational games and comfortable areas for families to spend time together.

Waves Teen Centre

Teens will have their own space on Crystal Grace (Crystal)

There will also be a new Waves Teens Centre on deck 11, which Crystal said will be the largest space for the age group across its fleet.

Created exclusively for guests aged 13 to 17, the venue features an entertainment lounge complete with an oversized screen for gaming, films and group activities, plus card and board game areas, a sound system and dance floor.

The teen programme will operate daily with dedicated programming and activities during peak family travel periods, including summer months and Christmas.

Fantasia Children’s Playroom reimagined

Across the deck, younger guests will enjoy a refreshed Fantasia Children’s Playroom, designed for children aged three to 12.

Parents will be able to drop kids off or stay with them for a range of supervised activities.

The ship also offers in-room babysitting services, starting from $10 (£7.50) per hour, per child.

Seahorse Pool, private cabanas and pool bar

The ship will also feature the Seahorse Pool, the largest pool in the Crystal fleet.

The pool area will have its own bar and 140 loungers between deck 10 and 11, creating space for guests to relax, socialise and enjoy uninterrupted ocean views.

There will also be a large outdoor LED screen for live sporting events, destination programming and movie nights under the stars.

For the first time, Crystal Grace will also introduce a collection of 60 private cabanas on deck 11, allowing passengers to sit by the pool.

Crystal Grace’s inaugural voyage is an eight-night sailing from Civitavecchia (Rome) to Venice departing on 11 June 2028. Prices start from £7,600 per person.
