Filmmaker and director Justin Hardy dies aged 61
- Film director Justin Hardy, son of The Wicker Man creator Robin Hardy, has died aged 61 after suffering a heart attack.
- Hardy had recently completed Wrath Of The Gods, a film inspired by a concept from his father’s unearthed script, which is set to premiere on 28 August.
- His family expressed their devastation, saying he was “so full of life right to the end” and incredibly energised by his latest work.
- Throughout his career, Hardy directed episodes for series such as The Bill and London’s Burning, and received nominations for an Emmy and a BAFTA.
- He also co-released the documentary Children Of The Wicker Man with his brother Dominic, exploring their family’s legacy with their father’s cult classic.
