Father diagnosed with terminal cancer after routine eye test

- Despite having no symptoms, an optical coherence tomography (OCT) scan during his eye test detected a small mole on his left eye.
- After initial proton radiotherapy, the cancer spread to his liver six months later, leading to a stage four terminal diagnosis with a two-year life expectancy.
- Mr Bridges’ treatment options are limited to clinical trials or a privately funded chemosaturation therapy, which is not available on the NHS and could cost up to £200,000 for multiple sessions.
- He has launched a GoFundMe page, raising £64,000 so far, to fund the chemosaturation treatment in hopes of extending his life and spending more time with his family.
