A man has lost his life following a light aircraft crash into a family residence in Lower Saxony, Germany, with authorities concerned the structure could collapse in the aftermath.
Officers are currently hunting for another individual believed to have been aboard the aircraft, though it remains uncertain whether the deceased was piloting the plane. Incredibly, the household occupants were away from the property when the aircraft struck. Aviation activity in the vicinity has been halted while emergency responders deploy drones in their operation, reports The Mirror.
Power supplies to the street where the residence stands have been switched off, with locals evacuated to a designated safe zone at the neighbouring Ganderkesee shooting range.

The light aircraft implicated in the collision was a four-seat model built by Italian manufacturer Tecnam – measuring roughly 7.5m in length with a 10.5m wingspan.
Reports from local outlets suggest recovery teams intend to remove the wreckage using crane equipment during a procedure anticipated to span multiple hours.
A structural surveyor from the Federal Agency for Technical Relief (THW) is also due to examine the property. Multiple fire brigade units remain on site. What triggered the crash has yet to be determined.
