Former Arsenal captain, Thierry Henry has spoken for the first time since the current squad won the Premier League title.

The Gunners last won the title 22 years ago, at a time when Henry was at the peak of his powers.

Manchester City’s 1-1 draw at Bournemouth on Tuesday night meant Mikel Arteta’s men can no longer be toppled at the summit.

“From Highbury seats to the Emirates – Arsenal Nation, finally we can celebrate,” Henry posted on Instagram.

“Special thanks to this generation, finally now my kids saw us winning the league. #goonerforlife.”

Arsenal players will get to lift the trophy after they play Crystal Palace on Sunday.
