Manchester United legend, Wayne Rooney has named two players manager Michael Carrick should drop against Ipswich Town.
Carrick’s side will face Ipswich Town in their next Premier League clash this weekend at Old Trafford.
The Red Devils head into the game after losing to Hull City in their Premier League opener last weekend.
Speaking on The Overlap, Rooney called on Carrick to drop Luke Shaw and Andrey Santos from Manchester United’s starting XI against Ipswich Town, who secured promotion to the Premier League following the conclusion of last season.

“I think players need to take responsibility on the pitch. I would change Luke Shaw, and I would play Dorgu at left-back, be a bit more aggressive [against Ipswich Town],” Rooney said.
“I don’t think we can rely on him [Shaw] to play all the games, so when you are playing against a newly promoted team at home, I would play Dorgu at left-back,” he added.
When asked if he would make any changes to Manchester United’s midfield against Ipswich Town, Rooney added: “Mainoo, probably, yeah. I would bring Mainoo in for Santos.”
