Chelsea legend, John Terry, has given his verdict on manager, Xabi Alonso ahead of the Blues’ pre-season friendly with Real Sociedad on Saturday.
Terry said that Alonso joining Chelsea earlier this summer is a great signing for the Premier League club, adding that the Spaniard is young and ambitious.
In a recent video on TikTok, the former England defender said of Alonso, “I met him very recently as well at the training ground and got a great feeling from him.
“I also have to say that in terms of the market and where Chelsea are at the minute, I do think he is the best that we could have got. I think he is a great signing.
“To have someone so young, ambitious, who is also going to relate with the players, I think, is the big key to this.”
Alonso has managed Real Madrid and Bayer Leverkusen in the past.
