Former Chelsea defender, Gary Cahill, has reacted to the club’s latest recruit, Maxence Lacroix.
Cahill described the France international as a great player, adding that his move to Stamford Bridge was a smart signing by the Blues.
On Thursday, Chelsea signed Lacroix from Premier League side Crystal Palace.
The French defender signed a deal that will see him remain at Chelsea until 2032.
“He is a great player, and it’s a really smart signing,” Cahill said of Lacroix via Chelsea’s website.
“I think he’s at a great age now as well, and he’s had that experience of playing regularly in the Premier League. He’s obviously been involved at the World Cup with the French national team.”
