A former England striker, Darren Bent, has predicted the clubs to finish in the top five of the Premier League table this season.
He believes Liverpool will secure a place in the top five.
The League is set to kick off on Friday, August 21, with the defending champions, Arsenal facing Coventry City.
Last season, the Gunners clinched their first top-flight title in 22 years, ending the campaign with five consecutive victories that placed them seven points ahead of Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City.
Bent said on talkSPORT, “Arsenal first, Liverpool second. I think Andoni [Iraola] will land straight away. Chelsea third, City fourth, Man United fifth.”
Arsenal’s achievement last season marked their first league title since their ‘Invincibles’ season under Arsène Wenger in 2004.
Mikel Arteta’s team have bolstered their squad during the summer transfer window, as have their main challengers for the title.
Nevertheless, Bent believes that the Gunners have the potential to win back-to-back titles in the English top division for the first time.
Among the five teams Bent listed, three have appointed new managers.
The Reds have brought in Andoni Iraola, Manchester City have appointed former Chelsea manager, Enzo Maresca, while Chelsea will be led by former Liverpool midfielder and Real Madrid coach, Xabi Alonso.
