Arsenal are aware that the cost of the deal to bring Real Madrid’s Vinicius Junior to the Emirates would be one of the most expensive transfers in British football history in terms of a fee and wages.
The Daily Mail reports that internally, the Gunners believe they have the financial means to complete the transfer.
They are also confident that Vinicius Jr would join.
But before Arsenal can think about formalising their interest in Vinicius Jr, they need the player to decide his future at the Bernabeu.
The Spanish club have offered him a new contract, but talks are at an impasse, with neither party willing to budge as it stands.
Real Madrid want the player to renew. But given his current deal expires next summer, opening up the prospect of Real losing him for nothing, the LaLiga side need a resolution this summer.
