A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Ebonyi State, Emmanuel Nwobo, has alleged that most of the atrocities happening in the state are committed by aides of Governor Francis Nwifiru
Nwodo made this allegation on Tuesday when he featured in an interview on Arise Television’s ‘Morning Show’.
He noted that the governor should be aware of the atrocities committed by his aides, which include attacks on opposition members, alleging that more than 200 persons assaulted a lawyer’s home.
“I don’t want to believe the governor is not aware of what is happening. They put it on social media saying no opposition party will be allowed in the state. After these attacks, petitions have been made to security agencies but the response has been cold.
“I don’t want to sound accusatory at this point, most of the atrocities are committed by people that work under the governor and they applaud it on social media, saying that no person will be allowed to play any opposition party in the state,” Nwodo said.
