“Don’t train women” — Geh Geh warns men against funding girlfriends

Nigerian content creator, Geh Geh, has advised men against making major financial investments in women they are dating, arguing that many relationships are driven by financial dependence rather than genuine commitment.

Geh Geh made the remarks during an interview on the BTC Podcast, where he insisted that men should prioritise building their own financial stability instead of spending heavily on their partners.

According to him, many men make costly financial mistakes by neglecting themselves in a bid to satisfy women.

“Don’t train a woman in school. Don’t stress yourself for a woman. Don’t open a business for a woman,” he said.

When asked whether women also make sacrifices by committing to one man through marriage, Geh Geh rejected the comparison, insisting that men and women do not play the same roles in relationships.

“Man and woman no be the same,” he said.

He also argued that women often gain financial advantages after marriage.

“The day a woman marries you, she won’t pay rent again,” he added.

Clarifying his position, Geh Geh said he was not against relationships but against women who enter relationships as a way to escape poverty.

“I’m not really against relationships. I dey against women wey wan use relationship take escape poverty. When you dey neglect yourself to please a woman, na financial mistake, you go cry,” he said.

Geh Geh also referenced the animal kingdom, claiming that in many species females are responsible for sourcing food, insisting that men should protect their finances rather than make expensive sacrifices for romantic partners.
