Dollar to Naira exchange rate today, September 10, 2026: Naira returns to appreciation against US currency

The naira returned to appreciation against the dollar at the official foreign exchange market on Thursday.

Central Bank of Nigeria data showed that the naira strengthened to N1,328.22 against the dollar on Thursday from N1,329.21 on Wednesday.

This means that, on a day-to-day basis, the naira firmed up by N0.99 against the dollar at the official foreign exchange market.

Meanwhile, at the black market, the naira remained unchanged at N1,390 per dollar on Thursday, the same rate recorded on Wednesday.

The mixed sentiments across the official and parallel foreign exchange markets came as the country’s foreign reserves extended their surge to $54.34 billion on Wednesday, according to data from the apex bank.

Recall that on Wednesday, the naira declined against the dollar, marking its first depreciation of the week so far.
