The naira extended appreciation against the dollar at the official foreign exchange market on Tuesday.
The Central Bank of Nigeria’s data showed that the Naira strengthened on Tuesday to N1,360.55 per dollar up from N1,362.84 traded on Monday.
This means that on a day-to-day basis, the Naira firmed up by N2.29 against the dollar.
Meanwhile, at the black market, the Naira stood at N1395 per dollar, the same rate recorded on Monday.
This comes as the country’s foreign reserves surged to $50.27 billion as of Monday, June 8, 2026, according to the apex bank’s data.
Recall that on Monday, the Naira appreciated against the dollar at the official foreign exchange market to kick off the week on a good note.
