The Democratic National Committee (DNC) released a long-withheld “autopsy” report examining the party’s failure in the 2024 presidential election, where Kamala Harris lost to Donald Trump.
DNC Chair Ken Martin published the 192-page document, reversing his earlier stance to dismiss it as a “distraction,” though he stated he does not endorse all its conclusions.
Authored by Paul Rivera, the report criticizes the national campaign for failing to effectively drive down Donald Trump’s negatives and for failing to adequately support Kamala Harris to improve her standing.
The report highlights the Democratic Party’s struggles in appealing to male voters and calls for a complete rethinking of its Latino outreach strategy, noting a focus on women in Harris’s campaign.
Notably, the document, which includes annotations for unverified claims, omits any mention of the Israel-Gaza conflict or Joe Biden’s age, despite their relevance during the campaign.
