Davido trolls Edo gov with WAEC result after Adeleke jibe
Afrobeats star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has taken a swipe at Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, following the governor’s remarks mocking Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke.
Davido, who has repeatedly defended his uncle amid the build-up to the August 15 Osun State governorship election, reacted by sharing what appeared to be Okpebholo’s WAEC result on his Instagram Stories on Friday.
Although the singer did not add a caption to the post, it was widely interpreted as a response to the governor’s comments about Adeleke.
The development comes a day after Okpebholo while campaigning for the All Progressives Congress governorship candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, popularly known as AMBO ridiculed the Osun governor over his love for dancing.
Speaking at the APC campaign rally, which was also attended by Kogi State Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, Okpebholo questioned Adeleke’s leadership style and suggested his dancing distracted him from governance.
**”Before somebody signs paper, he will dance. Are you not tired? For four years, this man has been dancing. Before he takes breakfast, before he drinks tea, he will dance,”** the Edo governor said.
Okpebholo also urged voters to collect money from political opponents but vote for the APC candidate in the August 15 governorship election.
Davido has been actively campaigning for Governor Adeleke’s re-election, participating in campaign rallies and recently appealing for a peaceful, free and fair election in Osun State.
