Clarkson’s Farm is one of the most successful shows on Prime Video – and it has at least three A-list fans, according to its producer.
Andy Wilman has said that the series’ “most interesting fan” is Bernie Ecclestone, the former head of Formula 1, who he claims talks about farming with Jeremy Clarkson whenever he sees him at the Grand Prix. Eccleston runs his own cattle farm in Brazil.
“They’re on a grid with a Ferrari next to them and they’re like: ‘The thing about your Friesian cows is . . . ’ and all this sort of stuff,” Wilman told The Sun.
open image in galleryElsewhere, Lost in Translation director Sofia Coppola – daughter of Godfather filmmaker Francis Ford Coppola – also tunes in to new episodes, as does David Beckham, who is a superfan.
Wilman, who also produces The Grand Tour, claimed that Beckham visited Diddly Squat and “was so starstruck” when he met farmhand Gerald Cooper, and ran to get a selfie with him.
Clarkson’s Farm details the TV personality’s efforts to run the 1,000-acre Oxfordshire holding, which he has been running since 2019. The latest season featured a knees-up in his accompanying boozer – but the celebrities in attendance were cut from the episode.
Clarkson opened his watering hole, The Farmer’s Dog, in August 2024 and, a few months later, held his first gig, booking Irish band The Corrs.
While the trio, made up of siblings Andrea, Sharon and Jim, were shown performing in the second episode of Clarkson’s Farm season five, there were a few faces missing from scenes – namely celebrity couple Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi.

Former chat show host DeGeneres and Arrested Development star de Rossi were invited by Clarkson and his girlfriend, Lisa Hogan, after they moved to the Cotswolds from America.
At the time, the pair shared footage from the event, where The Corrs played hits including “Breathless” and “Runaway”. However, shortly afterwards, the videos disappeared from their social media pages.
Other celebrities in attendance at The Farmer’s Dog gig who didn’t make the cut included “Torn” singer Natalie Imbruglia and James Blunt, known for his songs “You’re Beautiful” and “Goodbye My Lover”. They watched the gig from a balcony overlooking the stage.
Clarkson will cameo in the forthcoming reboot of The Grand Tour, which will see social media star and train enthusiast Francis Bourgeois, as well as YouTubers Thomas Holland and James Engelsman, replace the original trio, including Richard Hammond and James May.
While it’s a sure bet they’ll rival the original hosts’ car knowledge, they’ll be hoping to emulate their chemistry for a new era – and the trailer has provided the first evidence of whether they have succeeded.
In the new series, the presenters will tackle motoring’s most absurd questions across some of the world’s most challenging terrains. As part of the new episodes, they will cross the Angolan desert in track cars and explore Malaysia’s vibrant car culture.
