Clarkson’s Farm favourite Hannah Bourne-Taylor called her famous husband a ‘superhero’.

The hit Clarkson’s Farm Season 5 delivered numerous memorable moments, with Jeremy Clarkson’s hugely popular Prime Video series documenting his startling prostate cancer diagnosis.

He also brought in some captivating specialists, including self-described “bird lady”, Hannah Bourne-Taylor, who disclosed she had previously allowed a bird to nest in her hair for three months.

The conservationist and activist, who is married to Olympic rower Robin Bourne-Taylor, has been enthusiastic about highlighting her efforts to safeguard birds across her social media platforms.

She made national news back in 2022 when she spearheaded a nationwide initiative to protect swifts, The Feather Speech, encouraging the public to create vital nesting locations for the endangered species.

Hannah Bourne-Taylor turned heads with her naked protests

For the Oxfordshire-based campaigner, who is in her late 30s, her most striking demonstration saw her walking through London’s streets unclothed, with her body adorned in bird-inspired paint. She has also staged naked protests with merely a handful of bird silhouettes concealing her.

The activist, who also possesses a degree in fashion photography, faced considerable online misogyny following her bold demonstrations.

Nevertheless, she received unwavering backing from her husband Robin, a former British Army officer and Olympic rower representing Oxford.

He was awarded a Conspicuous Gallantry Cross for his service in Afghanistan and while Hannah acknowledged it established an intimidatingly high standard, she credited her husband with motivating her to remain steadfast with her activism. Speaking to The Observer, she said: “I don’t think I’m in a particularly normal environment! My husband, you could describe, genuinely, as being like a superhero.

“But as an Olympic rower, he spent eight years of his life having this obsessive goal, for which he had to do something over and over again and expect a different outcome every time he didn’t win. What better lesson for my campaign.”

Hannah and Robin, who has since forged a career as a professional speaker sharing his experiences both on the frontline and at the Olympics, tied the knot in 2015.

In her 2022 book Fledgling, Hannah recounted how Robin had taken up a new position in Ghana, where she rescued a baby bird and discovered a deep passion for conservation.

The couple relocated back to Oxfordshire in 2021, and just twelve months later she launched her campaign, which captured attention right across the country.
