The 11 Premier League clubs not involved in European competitions this season have discovered their opponents for the second round of the EFL Cup.
According to the EPL website on Tuesday, the draw has produced several all-Premier League ties, with Chelsea facing Luton Town, Tottenham Hotspur drawn against Charlton Athletic and Southampton set to host West Ham United.
Elsewhere, Newcastle United will welcome West Bromwich Albion, while Nottingham Forest face Leeds United and Sheffield Wednesday take on Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Everton will travel to Preston North End, Brentford visit Birmingham City and Fulham host AFC Wimbledon.
The second-round draw was regionalised into northern and southern sections, with the ties scheduled to take place in the week commencing August 24, between Premier League Matchweeks 1 and 2.
“The nine Premier League clubs competing in UEFA competitions this season will enter the EFL Cup at the third-round stage,” it noted.
The EFL Cup features all 92 clubs from England’s top four divisions — the Premier League, Championship, League One and League Two.
“Second-round ties will be decided over one leg, with a penalty shootout determining the winner if a match is level after 90 minutes,” it added.
