Burna Boy stopped speaking to me over rumours that I slept with his girlfriend – Shatta Wale

Ghanaian singer, Shatta Wale has claimed that his relationship with Nigerian Afrobeats star, Burna Boy soured after his former team members allegedly spread false rumours that he had an affair with Burna Boy’s girlfriend during the singer’s visit to Ghana.

Speaking in a recent episode of The Honest Bunch Podcast, the dancehall star said he welcomed Burna Boy warmly, provided him with accommodation and cars, and ensured he was comfortable throughout his stay in Ghana.

Shatta Wale alleged that after he parted ways with some members of his team, they began calling influential people in his life with false accusations in an attempt to ruin his relationships.

“They told Burna Boy that I was f**king his girl he brought to Ghana. He just bought it,” he claimed.

He added that despite repeatedly trying to reach Burna Boy after the Nigerian star’s career took off, his calls and messages went unanswered.

The dancehall singer said he even Burna Boy’s mother and manager, Bose Ogulu, but she just gave him excuses of why the artist wasn’t answering his calls.
Shatta Wale said he is happy for Burna Boy over his new status in the global music industry, but sad that he didn’t let him explain that the accusations his former team members made against him were false.
