Following her conviction of driving under the influence, Britney Spears has broken her silence since leaving rehab and claimed that the unfortunate turn of events was a “blessing in disguise.” The 44 year old star, who is also a mum of two, was arrested for “suspicion of DUI” on March 4 and pleaded guilty at her court hearing.
She was sentenced to 12 months probation. She also spent three weeks in a rehabilitation centre to help deal with substance abuse and her mental health.
And it seems time away from the spotlight while in the rehab facility appears to have done her the world of good as he took to her Instagram to reveal the spiritual journey she found herself on.
Holding a baby yellow and white snake in the palm of her hand, she wrote: “Went to the pet store with my kids and look at what a beautiful baby snake this is… “
She added: “Snakes are symbolic of good health, higher consciousness, and pure luck… I’m so d**n thankful to my friends and so many new beautiful people I have met through my spiritual journey… all a blessing in disguise…”
Britney experienced a meteoric rise to fame back in 1998 with her chart-topping hit Baby One More Time. And now years later, she has admitted that she needs to “learn how to be kind to myself and the way I speak to myself.”

She continued: “It’s a never ending journey and sometimes I just stop, look up and say wow God I think that was you and smile on!!!!”
At the time of her court hearing, Britney did not attend in person. Instead her lawyer Michael Goldstein entered her guilty please at the Ventura County Superior Court.
The singer has reportedly also been ordered to take part in a three-month drug and alcohol education programme. Alongside this, she was fined $721 and ordered by the judge to see a psychologist once a week and a psychiatrist twice a month.
But it doesn’t end there as the Ventura County Court Commissioner Matthew Nemerson ruled that police were allowed to search her car if she were to be stopped again by police.
Speaking outside the court, Britney’s lawyer said: “Miss Spears is doing well. She came home in anticipation of this hearing.”
Following her arrest earlier this year, she checked herself in to the rehab clinic Borden Cottage in Maine. According to ,media outlets in America, the minimum stay is 45 days and its believed it costs an estimated $140,000. This information was obtained from Recovery.com.
Britney also missed out on a family reunion which saw her parents, sister and both her sons attend the high school graduation of her niece.

The star’s niece is the eldest daughter of her sister Jamie Lynn Spears. The singer shares two children with her ex-husband Kevin Federline, Sean Preston, 20, and Jayden 19.
