The Britain’s Got Talent live final is upon us. Hundreds auditioned for the show in the hopes of getting a place in the Royal Variety Show, and now only 10 remain.

The 10 acts, which include Golden Buzzer winner and singer Matty Juniosa and PowerPoint comedian Ted Hill, will perform again for the judges – Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and KSI. The winner, who will also get £250,000 alongside the Royal Variety spot, will ultimately be decided by a public vote.

Ahead of the final, former winner Paul Potts has said he thinks Matty will win the show. The opera singer was the first winner of BGT in 2007and revealed his favourite was fellow singer Matty. Paul said: “Matty Juniosa is the favourite for me. He’s the one everybody else must beat. The magicians have a chance if they don’t divide the vote between themselves, and Hawkstone Farmers Choir could also place highly depending on public support.

“The poet who performed about his son was very moving as well, although some viewers may find it slightly manipulative or preachy. I think there are several acts capable of doing well, but Matty feels like the strongest contender.”

Poet Sonny Green wowed audiences with a spoken word piece and earned Simon Cowell’s Golden Buzzer in the audition rounds.

Speaking to Mirror ahead of the final, he said: “Winning would completely change my life, but I’d still love to keep trading down the markets. Who knows, maybe there’s a TV show in that one day. I’d love to go on a UK theatre tour, release a proper poetry book, and see it in the shops – so I can take my mum in there and show her that her son has made it.

“If I win, I’d make sure I had a good time with my family and made memories we would never forget. Footie tickets are expensive these days so the money might come in handy. But in all seriousness, I’m doing this for my family.”
