A Brit is understood to be amongst those who survived after two Greek firefighting helicopters collided, claiming the lives of two others.
The aircraft crashed mid-air on Sunday while tackling a significant wildfire, the Associated Press reported.
The incident occurred to the west of Athens.
Two crew members pulled from the wreckage alive were British and Greek nationals, while those who perished were Greek and Danish, according to reports.
The collision comes as strong winds pushed flames further into the Athens area on Sunday, prompting additional evacuations.

Earlier this week, two firefighters lost their lives combating a blaze on Crete, while another was killed in a separate fire in the Peloponnese, the Associated Press reported.
Meanwhile, blazes across France and Spain have forced roughly a third of a million people to flee their homes and holiday destinations.
