A brazen thief who filled a basket with items from a shop and then walked out without paying is being hunted down by the owners. The man was caught on camera at the Premier store on Musselburgh High Street, East Lothian, on Saturday.
CCTV footage shows him riding up on a bike, grabbing a basket inside and picking items up, before walking out. The outside camera shows him cycling away with the basket in one hand.
Edinburgh Live reports the incident happened around 5.45pm. The show owners have asked anyone who may recognise him to get in touch.
They said: “He has been involved in shoplifting from our store. We are sharing this to help protect other local businesses as well.
“Thank you everyone.” Police Scotland were approached for comment by our sister title.
