Bin collection crews across the country are starting their rounds earlier this week amid the extreme heat.
Cheltenham Borough Council, Somerset Council, and South Kesteven District Council, alongside Bristol Waste, are among those implementing earlier collection times.
Bristol Waste advised residents to place their bins out by 5am, as crews are beginning earlier “to avoid the main heat of the day.”
Cheltenham Borough Council confirmed that earlier starts would be in place until the weekend.
It wrote on X: “Due to the amber warnings of extreme heat , Heat-SWEP is active from today in Cheltenham and is expected to remain in place until Friday 26 June.”
