Beyond Paradise fans think they’ve found the ideal role for Kris Marshall to play.
Currently, he’s best known for portraying DI Humphrey Goodman in the Beyond franchise, having made his debut in 2014.
When he left the fictional island of Saint Marie in 2017, BBC fans were heartbroken that his time on the series had come to an end.
However, they were thrilled when it was announced he was getting his own spin-off show with partner Martha Lloyd (Sally Bretton) in the fictional Devon town of Shipton Abbott.
While the latest series has recently come to an end, fans have cast their eyes on another role for Kris to play outside of the BBC show.
On Reddit, one fan highlighted that the actor would be the ideal candidate to take on the role of Arthur Weasley in the new HBO Harry Potter series.

They wrote: “The right age, funny, definitely capable of that wide-eyed enthusiasm, but as his tone on Death in Paradise shows, more than capable of handling the more dramatic moments. Kris Marshall would be the perfect Mr Weasley.”
It wasn’t long before others commented on the thread, with many sharing their agreement as one person wrote: “This might be my new favourite Arthur-fancast!” As another shared: “He would be absolutely perfect.”
Someone else commented: “This might be my favourite so far. I think this is a great suggestion.” As another person added: “I love his character in Death in Paradise and that role is so like Arthur Weasley. And he is tall too. He would be just perfect! Wish they would cast him for the series.”

However, it looks as though fans will have to wait and see who takes on the role of the beloved character, as it has not yet been announced who will be playing Arthur Weasley.
Although there’s been speculation that Grey’s Anatomy’s Kevin McKidd could be taking on the role, as he told Entertainment Weekly: “I would never say never. I’m a massive Harry Potter fan.”
Currently, newcomers Dominic McLaughlin, Arabella Stanton and Alastair Stout have been cast to play Harry, Hermione and Ron.

Meanwhile, John Lithgow takes on the role of Dumbledore, Nick Frost will play Hagrid, Paapa Essiedu is set to portray Snape and Janet McTeer will be Minerva McGonagall.
Other cast members include Luke Thallon, Paul Whitehouse, Katherine Parkinson, Lox Pratt, Johnny Flynn, Bel Powley, Daniel Rigby and Bertie Carvel.
The first season of the new Harry Potter HBO series is set to be released on December 25 this year on HBO. Beyond Paradise is available to watch on BBC iPlayer.
