Barcelona have suffered a fresh injury blow ahead of their pre-season friendly with Al Ahly on Wednesday.
The LaLiga champions disclosed in a statement on Tuesday that midfielder, Roony Bardghji has suffered a rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee.
The 20-year-old Swede will undergo surgery in the coming days, and as a result he won’t feature against Al Ahly.
Bardghji made 28 competitive appearances for the Blaugrana last season.
He played twelve matches in LaLiga, five in the Champions League, one in the Copa del Rey and one in the Spanish Super Cup.
Bardghji scored two goals and provided four assists for Hansi Flick’s side.
