Arsenal are anticipated to be busy in the transfer market this summer as Mikel Arteta looks to strengthen following their Premier League title triumph. The Gunners ended their 22-year wait for a domestic crown under the Spaniard after three successive attempts had fallen short.

Rather than persevere with the squad that delivered success, Arteta is already eyeing up at least five new signings to inject fresh impetus into his ranks. Morgan Rogers is one name that features on Arsenal’s list of targets this summer.

The 23-year-old is receptive to joining the club in a potential £100 million deal, although the Aston Villa star is also attracting significant interest from Manchester United, Liverpool, PSG and Chelsea. Rogers, who netted 10 goals and provided seven assists in 37 appearances last season, is seen as the statement signing required to reinforce Arsenal’s attack after several players underwhelmed last term.

Arteta could offload at least two players, with Leandro Trossard reportedly in discussions with Besiktas, while Gabriel Martinelli could also depart having managed just one league goal all season. With vacancies on the left flank to fill, Marcus Rashford is one name worth watching as a potential option.

Although Manchester United would be reluctant to see Rashford join a close rival, their prospects of selling him abroad have been hampered. Barcelona snapped up Anthony Gordon from Newcastle, reducing their need for a left-sided attacker.

Having seemingly ruled out a permanent deal despite his impressive loan stint at Camp Nou, Arsenal could potentially strike an agreement for the 28-year-old, who is reported to have a £40m release clause in his Old Trafford contract. Exactly how Rashford and Rogers would slot into Arteta’s setup remains to be seen should both arrive this summer, though Rogers could battle Eberechi Eze for the No. 10 role, with question marks growing over skipper Martin Odegaard’s long-term future.

The Norwegian endured a personally disappointing campaign in terms of output, netting just once in the Premier League throughout the entire season. With his first World Cup appearance under his belt and his 28th birthday approaching later this year, he may feel the time is right for a fresh challenge if Rogers usurps him as the side’s chief playmaker.

Mirror Football understands Odegaard could be sold as he has attracted interest from clubs in Germany and Italy and would fetch a considerable fee that could be reinvested in the transfer market. Together with potential income from the sales of Trossard and Martinelli, Arteta looks set to have a healthy war chest to work with this summer.

Rogers is expected to cost in the region of £100m to lure away from Aston Villa, while Rashford could set the north London club back approximately £30m. Should they also address the need for a new central midfielder – Ayyoub Bouaddi is widely understood to be on their shortlist – Arsenal could comfortably exceed the £200m mark in summer spending.

Bouaddi, 18, has been one of the standout performers at the World Cup thus far for Morocco, and interest in the Lille sensation is set to intensify in the weeks ahead. football.london has reported that Arsenal have had the wonderkid on their radar since 2025, with sporting director Berta having already made significant progress with Bouaddi’s representatives.

There is an element of risk attached to splashing a substantial sum on a player who is far from the finished article, but Bouaddi has shown signs of maturity well beyond his tender years. Should Arsenal secure a deal for around £60m, it could prove an astute long-term investment – not least if it helps ease the burden on Declan Rice in the engine room.

Oscar Mingueza – available on a free transfer from Celta Vigo – is understood to be on Arteta’s shortlist as he searches for a right-back. Ben White could depart with Premier League clubs circling, and Mingueza may be thrust into the first-team fold should Jurrien Timber’s injury concerns persist after he was ruled out of the World Cup.

Piero Hincapie is poised to remain in north London as Arsenal prepare to finalise a permanent transfer for the Ecuador international. The 24-year-old arrived from Bayer Leverkusen on loan with an obligation to buy and has done enough to secure his spot in the squad next season, vying with Riccardo Calafiori and Myles Lewis-Skelly for a starting berth.

David Raya, William Saliba and Gabriel will continue to anchor Arsenal’s resolute defence next season, while Rice will patrol the midfield as their defensive linchpin. Arteta’s team selections during the closing stages of the campaign indicate that Bukayo Saka and Kai Havertz are preferred as the right winger and striker options ahead of 2025 arrivals Viktor Gyokeres and Noni Madueke.

With five potential new additions and a raft of exits, it looks set to be a summer of transformation at the Emirates Stadium. Having secured one title and reached a Champions League final, Arteta will be hoping this marks merely the beginning of his dynasty.

How Arsenal could line up in 2026/27: Raya; Mingueza, Saliba, Gabriel, Hincapie; Rice, Bouaddi; Saka, Rogers, Rashford; Havertz.
