Arsenal will celebrate their success on Sunday as the players, staff and more than 500,000 fans take to the streets of north London for a trophy parade. It will follow a five-mile loop through Islington before returning to the Emirates area.

There will be scenes of joy as the Gunners toast the end of the club’s wait for silverware after a string of near misses. But after the umpteen trophy lifts, cheers and raised glasses, life will eventually return to normal for Arsenal as preparations for next season accelerate.

They can’t afford to stand still as their domestic rivals look to close the gap to Mikel Arteta’s side, with Manchester City, Chelsea and Liverpool, who sacked Arne Slot on Saturday, set for fresh starts under new managers.

Arteta could strengthen across the pitch, while there are set to be a number of departures too. Mirror Football brings you the latest Arsenal transfer news…

Former Arsenal striker Theo Walcott has told the Gunners to sign both Morgan Rogers and Julian Alvarez this summer. Rogers of Aston Villa and Atletico Madrid’s Alvarez are among the big names strongly linked to the Gunners, each carrying hefty price tags in the region of £100m.

Walcott told football.london: “We’ll take them both. What player would not want to come to Arsenal? Morgan Rogers would be exceptional. Villa have, of course, got Champions League and he’s English, so it would be a lot of money.

“But I think Arsenal would be able to attract any kind of player. Alvarez, I am a big fan, but I am also a big fan of [Viktor] Gyokeres. They [Arsenal] are going to add and build and get stronger. I feel like they can dominate for many years.”

Reiss Nelson has returned to Arsenal after Brentford opted against signing him permanently. The 26-year-old endured an injury-hit loan spell, which limited him to 14 appearances for the Bees this season.

The Gunners will now look to sell the academy graduate, who has a year left on his contract and is not in Arteta’s long-term plans. His homegrown status means any transfer fee received will represent pure profit on the profit-and-sustainability balance sheet.

Brentford director of football Phil Giles said: “Reiss came at the end of last summer’s transfer window, having not played significant minutes since December 2024 while on loan at Fulham.

“Whilst I’m sure he would’ve preferred more Premier League minutes with us during the loan, he has nevertheless made a good contribution with his positivity, attitude and experience around training and matchdays, and leaves us in a better place physically than when he joined.”
