Tyson Fury has made his ‘Sunday Times Rich List‘ debut – but his lucrative earnings does not even come anywhere near long-time rival Anthony Joshua.
The Sunday Times Magazine has unveiled its list of 350 of the richest people in the United Kingdom – with several sporting powerhouses from Britain featuring on the list, including Rory McIlroy, Harry Kane and Sir Lewis Hamilton.
But perhaps many within the boxing fraternity have been left scratching their heads after finding both Fury and Joshua in the top 10. The ‘Gypsy King’ sits comfortably in ninth, with a reported earnings of £162million ($218.8m). Fury retired from boxing in January 2025 following back-to-back defeats to Oleksandr Usyk.
For the first fight, in May 2024, both men competed for a reported purse of around £115m ($155m) – with Fury understood to have pocketed £85m ($114.8m). In the rematch, the pair fought for a purse of £150m ($202.6m). His retirement did not last long after he performed an expected U-turn.

The Brit returned to the ring last month – outpointing Russian heavyweight Arslanbek Makhmudov at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. It was an easy night at the office for the former two-time heavyweight world champion – who reportedly took home £18.8m ($25.3m). Fury was also handed a major boost after the fight. Usually, he would have to cough up around half of his earnings and pay the taxman, but this time around, there was a real sense of relief in the Fury household as he would not have to pay as much.
Last year, it was reported that Fury and his family quit the UK and opted to move to the Isle of Man – which has often attracted the wealthy due to it’s favourable tax arrangements. Tyson and wife Paris, along with their seven kids, are thought to now be living in an £8m mansion just outside of Douglas, the island’s capital.

Fury is estimated to have a net worth of around £120m ($162.1m). He also earns additional income through his Netflix series At Home with the Furys, books, and his energy drink brand, Furocity. Despite his rather successful year, his earnings still comes nowhere near Joshua’s on the Times rich list.
Joshua sits one place above his long-time rival in eighth with a reported earnings of £240m ($324.2m) – nearly £100m more than Fury. The British scrapper fought just once in 2025 – a sixth round knockout victory over YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul. Jaw-dropping reports emerged stating that both men pocketed around £100m ($135m) for the Miami melee. The 36-year-old is expected to face unknown Kristian Prenga on July 25 before finally facing Fury later this year.
According to Celebrity Net Worth, Joshua has an estimated net worth of $150m (£111.8m). That figure has most likely sky rocketed following the clash with Paul. Joshua still has many jaw-dropping sponsorship deals that only increase his income. Deals with the likes of Under Armour, Hugo Boss, Land Rover, and Jaguar are all worth quite a bit to ‘AJ’ – earning a total of £8.9m five years ago. Boxing fans were left stunned when he left Sky Sports and signed a mega deal with DAZN that will see him pocket another £100m ($135m) for two fights every year until he hangs up the gloves.

Robert Watts, compiler of the Sunday Times Rich List, said: “For nearly 40 years the Sunday Times Rich List has analysed the fortunes of Britain’s most affluent people. We believe understanding where wealth lies and where it is being accumulated is an important part of a functioning democracy.
“Over the years our research has told us a lot about our country, charting the way a generation of largely self-made entrepreneurs overtook the old money of the landed gentry. This year’s edition shines a light on fortunes made from artificial intelligence, driverless cars and cryptocurrencies as well as baby milk, make-up, hoodies and other everyday items. We know many of our readers find those rags-to-riches stories of entrepreneurs who started out with little more than a laptop and an idea particularly inspiring.”
Bayern Munich forward Harry Kane and tennis legend Andy Murray both sit in joint tenth with a reported earnings of £110m ($148.5m). Golf star Rory McIlroy and Castore founders Tom and Phil Beahon just miss out on a place in the top five – having earned £325m ($439m) and £350m ($472.8m) respectively.

Formula One icon Sir Lewis Hamilton kicks off the top five, with a reported earnings of £435m ($587.6m). Sitting way ahead of him in fourth is Gymshark founder and businessman Ben Francis (£800m). Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn, along with his father Barry, find themselves in the billionaire status (£1.035bn), along with Sir David and Victoria Beckham – £1.185bn. Sitting quite comfortably ahead of the rest of the pack is Bernie Ecclestone and his family – with jaw-dropping earnings of £2bn.
