Anthony Gordon’s girlfriend Annie Keating will be supporting her partner as he aims to help England secure World Cup glory. It remains to be seen if his long-term partner will also join him in Barcelona as he begins a new chapter of his footballing journey in Spain.

The 25-year-old left Newcastle last week to join the La Liga champions. Gordon signed a five-year contract in a transfer worth £69.3million.

The England international will relocate to Spain over the summer, and Keating has accompanied him throughout every career move to date, but uprooting their lives to a new country will be a big step. She will likely be present as Gordon takes on New Zealand alongside the Three Lions squad in a friendly match on Saturday evening.

The couple have been an item for several years, but Keating maintains a low-key online presence. They have been spotted together publicly only a handful of times, including at his unveiling at Newcastle and at international matches with his country.

Keating’s social media accounts are largely reserved for family and friends, as her Instagram profile stays private. The pair first met during childhood in their home city of Liverpool and have been in a relationship for a long time.

It remains unclear when the relationship initially started, but they expanded their family in 2023 with the arrival of a baby boy. Gordon also relied on his partner when he was given a driving ban.

The then-Newcastle star had been caught behind the wheel of his vehicle following a six-month suspension. Consequently, reports suggested that Keating had been driving him to training.

Before departing for Spain, Gordon will concentrate on representing his nation at the World Cup. The winger was chosen by Thomas Tuchel for his Three Lions squad ahead of the tournament in the United States, Canada and Mexico.

With future glory in his sights, Gordon is also anticipating the prospect of winning trophies with Barca. Speaking at his official unveiling, the 25-year-old said: “As soon as I knew Barca was a serious option, there was never any question.

“I always wanted Barca. Barca is the biggest club on the planet. It’s the stuff I dreamed of as a child. It really is a dream come true to be here.
