  • A 28-year-old man, initially arrested in Rotherham, has been re-arrested on suspicion of commissioning, preparing, or instigating acts of terrorism.
  • Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood told the Commons that the suspect was not known to the counter-terrorism programme Prevent.
  • Counter-terrorism police have taken over the investigation from Devon & Cornwall Police, citing new information and evidence.
  • Ms Widdecombe was found dead with serious injuries at her Haytor residence on Thursday, and police are pursuing multiple lines of enquiry to establish the motivation.
