American rapper Lil Durk says Tems’ music is motivating him in jail

Embattled American rapper, Durk Banks, popularly known as Lil Durk, has shared a playlist of the songs he’s been listening to in jail to motivate himself.

The rapper, who is currently remanded in a correctional centre over an alleged murder-for-hire case, shared the playlist on social media.

Grammy-winning Nigerian singer, Tems’ hit song, ‘Free Mind’, topped the list.

‘Nightmares to Dreams’ by Meek Mill, ‘Some How Some Way’ by Jay-Z, ‘Changes’ by 2Pac, ‘I Wish’ by 21 Savage, and ‘Freedom Time’ by Lauryn Hill, also made the cut.

Lil Durk is facing trial for allegedly orchestrating a murder-for-hire revenge plot targeting Quando Rondo. The trial began on August 20, 2026.
