Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are reportedly set to get married at Madison Square Garden (MSG) in New York this weekend, an iconic venue that’s hosted some incredible events over the years.
Images have shown that the venue has been swarmed by the National Guard and 70 NYPD police officers are waiting in the wings to keep the wedding as private as possible.
Although later reports speculated it could all be part of an elaborate hoax, and a fake venue to throw off the scent of the paparazzi, some are convinced that this is where Taylor is set to tie the knot.

MSG is one of the most famous arenas in the US and home to the basketball team, the Knicks and the Ice Hockey team, the New York Rangers . But it has also hosted a number of legendary sporting events over the decades.
In 1971 it hosted the so-called ‘Fight of the Century’ that saw undefeated heavyweight champions Muhammad Ali and Joe Frazier face off, with Frazier winning by unanimous decision..
The venue has hosted some incredible performances over the years, including several of Taylor’s Eras Tour dates.

The venue has also hosted a several other iconic music tours including Harry Styles‘ Love on Tour, Madonna The Celebration Tour, Olivia Rodrigo Guts World Tour, Billie Eilish’s Hit Me Hard and Soft: The Tour, Kylie Minogue’s Tension Tour, andLady Gaga’s Mayhem Ball.
The venue has also hosted several pivotal moments in political hisotry. In 2024, Donald Trump held a rally for his presidential campaign at MSG. Way back in 1962, President John F. Kennedy’s held his 45th birthday celebration at the venue, with Marilyn Monroe serenading him with her infamous Happy Birthday, Mr. President song.
There is a lot of evidence pointing towards the venue being used for what looks to be the wedding of the year. The New York Times previously reported that the arena had been rented out for a multi-day event by Winick Productions, for use between July 2-4. Exactly when Taylor and Travis’ special day is rumoured to take place.

Additionally, the public calendar for the stadium between those dates is surprisingly empty, with the next event listed as a Bon Jovi gig on July 7.
In the past few days, along with the security surrounding the area, various trucks have been arriving at the area, offloading different items.. A red carpet was spotted being placed near the garden’s VIP entrance ready for the biggest names to arrive.
Sources close also told TMZ that a huge castle will be built in the MSG to give a fairy-tale feel to the day. Crews were snapped unloading giant, covered scenic pieces labelled “Garden Party 1 (Scenic)” and spray-painted “GP” outside the venue.
Taylor Swift biographer, Anna Pointer, revealed to the Mirror that the event will be filled with superstar performers and five wedding dresses. “People said it was an Easter egg when she turned up at the NBA finals wearing a Stevie Nicks T-shirt. So whether Stevie Nicks will perform alone, or she could team up with Taylor, that could happen,” she claimed.

She added of potential bridesmaids: “The Haim sisters – Esther, Danielle, and Alana – are all likely to be bridesmaids, as are Emma Stone and Gigi Hadid. And then the cutest will be Jason and Kylie Kelce’s four daughters. Taylor and Travis are both really close to their nieces.”
Anna also claimed Taylor could impress in multiple dresses: “There could be five or six dresses and whatever she wears for the rehearsal dinner will also be pretty showstopping.
“She could be spending much of her wedding day just rushing in and out of the changing rooms and coming out in a new dress.”
