President Bola Tinubu on Wednesday received the Governor of Ekiti State, Biodun Oyebanji, at the Presidential Villa after the governor was presented with his Certificate of Return.
This meeting came just days after his victory in the recently concluded governorship election which took place in Ekiti.
Oyebanji was accompanied to the meeting by Senator Opeyemi Bamidele, who served as chairman of the governor’s campaign council.
Recall that on June 21, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared the incumbent governor and candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Biodun Oyebanji, the winner of the 2026 Ekiti State governorship election after polling a total of 319,224 votes.
