President Donald Trump is scheduled to make his first flight on the new Air Force One, a Boeing VC-25B gifted by Qatar, for a trip to North Dakota.
The $400 million luxury jet, which required substantial upgrades and features a red, white, dark blue, and gold paint scheme personally selected by Trump, will be used for the journey.
In Medora, North Dakota, Trump will tour the new 96,000-square-foot Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library, set to open to the public on Saturday.
The visit is part of the country’s Fourth of July and “America 250” celebrations, with Trump also participating in a train ride and a motorcade with a ceremonial Rough Riders Troop.
Trump’s itinerary includes observing a fireworks display at Mount Rushmore and delivering a campaign-style speech in Washington D.C., leveraging the anniversary celebrations to underscore his leadership.
