Messi, 38, marked his 200th Argentina appearance with a stunning hat-trick in their opening 3-0 win over Algeria to equal Miroslav Klose’s mark of 16 last week. Coverage starts on BBC One at 1730.
Later in the evening, tournament favourites France take on Iraq (BBC One, 2130) looking to go top of Group I before Norway take on Senegal later on (ITV, 0015). Back in Group J, Jordan face Algeria in the early hours (0330, ITV).
Working towards Wimbledon
open image in galleryJack Draper will return to action when the Eastbourne Open gets under way on Monday, his first competitive appearance since April.
Draper, who is now coached by Andy Murray, will be up against Brandon Nakashima, who made it as far as the semi-finals at Queens before losing to Francisco Cerundolo.
It will be Draper’s second appearance in Eastbourne, where he reached the semi-finals in 2022. Sky Sports Tennis will be showing coverage from the ATP and WTA Tours from 1130.
