Spain winger, Lamine Yamal, has insisted that Argentina captain Lionel Messi, is the best footballer the world has ever seen.
Yamal was speaking ahead of their group fixture against Saudi Arabia.
Messi helped his country begin their quest to defend their trophy with a hat-trick against Algeria.
His performance brought back the debate about who the GOAT is in football history.
But Yamal told RTVE: “Messi’s hat-trick? Every match he plays proves that he is the greatest player in history.
“If anyone still has doubts, it’s because they’re deliberately looking for them. Leo is the GOAT.”
